Supportive Housing is a combined program of public housing and on-site support services for seniors. Residents have 24-hour access to services in their homes, similar to an assisted living facility. Supportive housing offers a social and supportive environment to assist elders in maintaining their independence in the dignity and comfort of their own apartment.
Depending on income and need, residents may qualify for support services through Massachusetts Home Care Programs. Residents who are not eligible may pay privately for services as needed. Click here to find out more about Supportive Housing. Congregate Housing is a unique combination of private apartments and shared living space for older adults. To assist elders in maintaining independent lifestyles, congregate housing provides a social and supportive environment. North Shore Elder Services offers services that allow residents to live with dignity and comfort in the community. Congregate housing offers a place for companionship and privacy, a place where friendship, support, and independence add up to a caring and proud community. It also gives elders peace of mind.
