Information: North Shore Elder Services offers a range of in-home services and programs to help elders remain independent in the community. For the past 30 years we have provided elders and their families with assessment services, care planning and service coordination.
Our 30 case managers and nurses are licensed and supervised by masters-level personnel. We offer clients access to bilingual case management in Russian, Spanish and Portuguese. Our mission is to help elders and their families better manage the challenges of care at home.

Solutions: A number of programs can be added to a client care plan. We can assist you to get the help you need by choosing:
- Case Management by social service and nursing professionals offers individualized assessments of an elder's needs, recommends services, and provides guidance on where to find services. On-going support and coordination ensures the elder’s needs continue to be met.
- Home Care Services include a number of options such as housekeeping, home delivered meals, grocery shopping, personal care, home health services, adult day health programs and more.
- Family Caregiver Support empowers caregivers by providing education as well as emotional and technical support. For more information visit our Support for Family and Caregivers Page.
- Elder Care Advice offers families an in-home meeting with an elder care specialist to discuss options and receive information about available resources.
- Personal Emergency Response System is a communication system worn as a necklace or bracelet allowing one to obtain immediate assistance in an emergency.
- Health Benefits Information provides unbiased, up-to-date health insurance information.
- Money Management assists qualified elders with personal financial tasks such as bill paying and check writing. For more information visit our Money Management Page.
- Home Delivered Meals are available to North Shore residents age 60 or older who are homebound and unable to prepare meals on their own. For more information visit our Senior Dining Page.
- Senior Dining Locations throughout the North Shore offer older adults an opportunity to share a hot, nutritious meal and good company. For more information visit our Senior Dining Page.
- Nursing Home and Community Care Ombudsmen protect the rights and entitlements of elders residing in nursing homes or receiving in-home care.
- Elders in Crisis Programs investigate reports of elders who are abused, exploited, neglected or self-neglecting.
- Housing Options include independent apartments, supportive living and congregate residence housing for elders. For more information visit our Housing Options Page.
- Private Geriatric Care Management guides elders and their caregivers through the range of eldercare options available to them and provides service arrangement and monitoring on a short or long term basis.
